The data relating to rural architecture derive from the survey of the historical heritage of minor architecture carried out between 1987 and 1997, commissioned by the Superintendence for Cultural Heritage and Activities of the Autonomous Region of Aosta Valley in order to study and document the characteristics of historic settlements, under the scientific direction of architect Claudine Remacle. The data relating to rural architecture derive from the survey of the historical heritage of minor architecture carried out between 1987 and 1997, commissioned by the Superintendence for Cultural Heritage and Activities of the Autonomous Region of Aosta Valley in order to study and document the characteristics of historic settlements, under the scientific direction of architect Claudine Remacle.
The cataloguing work was made available to the Municipality of Ayas for Ayas Open-Air Museum by: Department of Cultural Heritage and Activities, Education System and Policies for Intergenerational Relations – Cultural Heritage Catalogue Fund, under concession from the Autonomous Region of Aosta Valley.The thematic maps and digitized images are available online through the regional information systems as part of the Far Conoscere – Faire Connaître project.
Autonomous Region of Aosta Valley, Regional Multimedia Library
The Regional Multimedia Library is an online catalogue created with the aim of enhancing the rich iconographic heritage preserved in the archives of various departments of the Regional Administration. The project, coordinated by the Department for Innovation and Digital Agenda, brings together the individual regional collections into a single and user-friendly web platform and contains extensive documentation on Ayas.
